I was born in South Africa and developed a love for the natural world from a very young age. Running around barefoot as a child, I would help my mother in the flowerbeds. I remember the pelargonium, pansies and hydrangea with particular fondness. After a journey through the arts, working in the film and theatre industries, I eventually (and perhaps inevitably) returned to gardening in 2009. After initially working as the mainstay gardener for award winning garden designer Catherine Thomas, I went on to launch my own garden maintenance business before training in garden design.

As a plantsman, I’m passionate about blending the beautiful with the practical, creating outdoor spaces that are versatile and beautiful, with a real focus on year round interest. 

I have an extensive plant knowledge and an exceptional eye for design. Working as a garden designer is a dream come true for me and I treat each project with the care and sensitivity it deserves.

As a garden designer based in Salisbury I travel all over Wiltshire and the South West of England. If you’re further afield then that’s not a problem, I’ve worked with clients in London, Europe and all over the world.
